Frequently asked questions

How do I get there? 

There are several air companies flying out from the capital of Norway, Oslo (OSL) to Tromsø (TOS). Meeting point at 11AM the same day as the tour starts from Tromsø Airport. For air tickets, check out www.norwegian.com, www.flyr.com or www.SAS.com

It is not advised to book flights until we confirm we have adequate numbers for this workshop to go ahead. In the event of the workshop not going ahead, we will refund deposits in full.

However, we will not compensate flight costs.

What kind of weather can I expect?

The weather can change in very short time. From sun to snow blizzards within minutes, which also creates beautiful light conditions for photography. At the coast temperatures can go from plus 12 to minus 12.

What camera equipment should I bring? 

– DSLR or mirrorless camera

– Tripod

– Wide angle lens (14mm or 16mm) . F2.8 for night photography

– Normal zoom 24-70mm

– Telephoto zoom 100-400 mm

– ND filters (Grad to 10-stop)

– Cable release

– Head lamp

– Computer / iPad

Will I be able to see the northern lights?

We will do our very best to capture the northern lights. 

 

Cost and what is included? 

 

Two local guides and tuition. Accommodation (Single Occupancy), Transportation, Breakfast, Day and Night Shooting and post processing sessions.

Is there any COVID-19 restrictions in Norway?

No, Norway lifted all COVID-19 restrictions in February 2022.
